The dealer I purchased from offered to wash the car before I took it home, but I told them not to because I enjoy doing it myself. I F inally got around to doing it today and I snapped a few pics.

There are a few swirl marks which I’ll have to address eventually, but a good hand wash and Gyeon Wet Coat have made this VW shine pretty nicely.

Looks great.

I like Wetcoat but on some colours it can be an arse. I’ve taken to using CarPro Hydrofoam for speed and ease of use as it’s a snow foam lance applied sealant and rinse.

Did you get any Gyeon Cure? It's great as a post wash drying aid or quick detailer but also a standalone sealant.

I’m using up what I have left of my current quick detailer but I do want to give Gyeon Cure a try.

I have always used wax on my cars but I’m thinking of going a different/ easier route this time. What do you use for paint protection? I just threw on a layer of wet coat for now to add some shine and help keep it clean longer.

I use Gtechniq P1 nanopolish. It’s a water based pad dependant non diminishing polish.

You only need one polish. Use a wool pad for compounding, and firm pad for polishing or a soft pad for finishing.

I use it by hand with great results.

Recent 2007 Lexus. Before and after, the paint was so bad on the passenger side here that it looked like polish or wax hazing.
